An EMT died while on duty Christmas Day, according to a post by Northeaster Area EMS on Facebook.
The EMS company, based in Manchester, said Robert Kohler Sr. died after suffering a “medical event” on Tuesday.
“Please pray for the family and department as we grieve the loss of EMT R. Kohler," the EMS company wrote. “He will be greatly missed.”
Union Fire Company No. 1, also based in Manchester, posted about Kohler’s death as well saying he was a “fixture in community service, volunteering with local fire companies” and was a longtime member of the Northeaster Area EMS.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and the department as we grieve Bob’s loss,” the fire company wrote.
